Why choose aluminium over uPVC or timber?
Aluminium is strong, slim, and long-lasting. It allows for larger panes of glass with thinner frames, giving you more natural light and better views. Unlike timber, it won’t warp or rot, and unlike uPVC, it doesn’t discolour over time.
Are aluminium frames energy-efficient?
Yes. Modern aluminium systems use thermal breaks (insulating barriers within the frame) and double or triple glazing to achieve excellent insulation and meet current building regulations.
Do aluminium windows and doors require much maintenance?
Very little. A simple wipe with warm soapy water a few times a year is usually enough to keep them looking like new.
What colours and finishes are available?
Aluminium frames can be powder-coated in a huge range of RAL colours, with options for matt, gloss, or textured finishes. You can even have different colours inside and outside.
